About
The neighborhood noticeboard for the music on your block.
Stoopnote is a local music feed for independent NYC artists and the neighbors who show up. A place for the people making, hosting, and attending local shows to leave a note close to home.
A noticeboard, not a billboard
Stoopnote is a neighborhood noticeboard and feed for local music. It is where an independent artist can put a show, a rehearsal, or a collab ping in front of the people close enough to actually come through the door.
For the people making the night
The audience is independent NYC artists and the neighbors who show up: the people writing songs, hosting rooms, booking bills, running sound, carrying flyers, bringing a friend, and standing near the back wall when the first band starts.
Artist → block → inbox
An artist posts the thing. The post is tied to a block or neighborhood, so it lands in the local feed where nearby neighbors can find it. If they want the reminder in their pocket, they can receive the neighborhood digest in their inbox — the same local notice, without having to keep watch all day.
The newest thing stays the newest thing
The feed is chronological and local. There is no engagement-ranking algorithm deciding which show deserves a bigger room, no reach-chasing scoreboard, and no reason to turn a neighborhood noticeboard into another popularity contest. What is nearby and recent gets its turn.
